OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN--(Marketwire - July 26, 2011) - EAA AirVenture - Pratt & Whitney Canada's (P&WC's) award-winning social network microsite PT6Nation.com has come to EAA 2011. A special PT6Nation kiosk is featured in the P&WC booth (2132) at EAA where attendees can take a tour of the PT6Nation microsite and sign up to become members. The PT6Nation microsite was launched seven months ago to leverage evolving social business networks and bring P&WC brand awareness to potential customers and industry partners. In February 2011, PT6Nation won first place for "Best Use of Social Media" in the Flight Global "Webbie" awards competition. According to the competition's judges, PT6Nation is the first such OEM-run social network, stepping outside the boundaries of the established networks such as Facebook and Twitter but harnessing their integration. Judges said that P&WC had developed a B2C tool to connect with its customer base in an open, digital medium.
