PARIS AIR SHOW, PARIS, FRANCE--(Marketwire - June 19, 2007) - Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) President Alain M. Bellemare was awarded Flight's prestigious Publisher's Award in recognition of his leadership in propelling P&WC to a position of great strength around the world and for his outstanding contribution to aerospace. The Flight Awards are presented by Flight International magazine. Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.
Bellemare, whose role was recently expanded to include Executive Vice President, Group Strategy & Development, Pratt & Whitney, was selected by the Flight Awards committee. The award was presented at a ceremony held at Pavillon d'Armenonville during the Paris Air Show.
P&WC was also nominated for a Flight Award in the Propulsion, Systems and Avionics Product category for the development of the PW600 engine family, which has become the leader in the emerging very light jet (VLJ) market.
