GENEVA, SWITZERLAND--(CCNMatthews - May 22, 2007) - Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. is extending its industry-leading global support to European operators of the PW610F-powered Eclipse 500 very light jet by offering its Eagle Service Plan (ESP®) to meet their engine maintenance needs. Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.
"Our ESP program allows operators to manage maintenance expenses more effectively and virtually eliminate the risk of high-cost surprises," said Raffaele Virgili, Vice President, Service Centres, P&WC. "With the ESP, operators are covered for specific expenses tailored to their needs based on a guaranteed rate per engine operating hour, paid on a monthly basis."
The ESP program offers four levels of coverage, from Silver Lite to Gold. The Silver Lite plan offers complete coverage, including scheduled engine overhauls, hot-section inspections, and basic unscheduled engine and accessory maintenance. It also covers required product support improvements during shop visits and rental engine fees.
The ESP Gold plan extends coverage to include life-cycle-limited parts, removal and installation labour, and freight for engines and engine parts, among other benefits.
PW610F European operators who enrol in the ESP program before 200 hours total time are eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on the hourly rate for the first 1,000 hours of operation.
Operators in the U.S. and Canada are eligible for Eclipse Aviation's Eclipse JetCompleteTM program.
In addition to its innovative engine maintenance programs, P&WC's global customer support comprises over 30 P&WC-owned and designated overhaul facilities, field support representatives strategically located on all major continents, mobile repair teams available around the clock, the largest pool of P&WC rental and exchange engines in the industry and advanced diagnostic capabilities.
