Pratt & Whitney Canada Expands its Network of Rapid Response Mobile Repair Teams in the United States
Nov 09, 2005 - 00:00 AM
NBAA, ORLANDO, FLORIDA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 9, 2005) - Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC), a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company, today announced that it is expanding its network of rapid response Mobile Repair Teams (MRT) in the United States to provide faster support to its engine customers.
Five additional teams are being strategically located throughout the United States to ensure field maintenance support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, regardless of an operator's location.
Each team, composed of two repair specialists, is trained and fully equipped to perform on-site maintenance services for the PW300, PW500, JT15D and PT6 engine series, including Hot Section Inspection (HSI), for the company's PW500, JT15D and PT6 engine families.
"With this expanded network, our engine customers will be assured of even faster response times to their maintenance needs," says Benoit Brossoit, Vice President, Service Centres, P&WC. "We will now be in a better position than ever to dispatch a MRT within hours of a call to undertake required maintenance. Our goal is to ensure operators can return their aircraft into service with minimal disruption."
Two new MRT teams have already been established in Chicago, IL and Charlotte, NC. Additional teams will be stationed in White Plains, NY and Little Rock, AR, and Phoenix, AZ, by the second quarter of 2006.
A dedicated MRT Dispatch Coordinator has also been assigned to assure a maximum one-hour response time to customer requests, with a detailed follow-up within four hours.
P&WC's seven Service Centres in the US, located in Burlington, VT; Bridgeport, WV; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Wichita, KS; Addison, TX; and Los Alimitos, CA, will provide full back-up support to the MRTs.
