Pratt & Whitney Canada Appoints Helisureste as a Recognised Maintenance Facility

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 7, 2005) - Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp (P&WC) has appointed Helisureste C.M.A., located in Spain, as a Recognised Maintenance Facility (RMF) for selected PT6T and PT6A engine models.
Helisureste offers engine support services to operators of P&WC powered aircraft in Europe. In addition to carrying out maintenance for various types of operators, they also operate helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft for medivac, fire fighting, suspended cargo transport, aerial filming and agricultural operations. Helisureste was the first operator in Europe to operate a Bell 212 for their specialised firefighting and medivac activities and are a service centre for Bell, Agusta and Raytheon.
"This is an important partnership between Helisureste and ourselves and enhances our high level of support, including Mobile Repair Team (MRT) services. Helisureste will play a significant part in increasing satisfaction levels and meeting the needs of our customers in this area of Europe," said Juergen Pilot, General Manager, P&WC CSC Europe GmbH.
P&WC CSC Europe GmbH is a joint venture of P&WC and MTU/Germany and operates two modern service centres in Ludwigsfelde, Germany and Southampton, U.K. The Southampton facility is conveniently located adjacent to the Southampton International Airport. This 60,000-square-foot facility offers full repair and overhaul support for PW100 and PT6T Twin-Pac(R), including two test cells, one for each engine series. The Ludwigsfelde facility is located near the city of Berlin and provides full repair and overhaul support for PT6A, JT15D, PW200 and PW300 engine series. The 126,000-square-foot facility is equipped with three state-of-the-art test cells.
